Why We Built This
We noticed a gap: most digital waitlist systems are either expensive SaaS subscriptions, bundled into bloated POS software, or require app downloads for customers. Independent restaurants, pop-ups, cafΓ©s, and small food businesses were left with paper and clipboards β or nothing at all.
So we built a free, simple, privacy-first waitlist that works on any device. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Just a queue.
What makes it different
- Privacy by default β names are automatically masked; only initials are shown publicly
- QR code timers β each party gets a personal countdown URL, no app install needed
- Real-time estimates β adjusts based on party size and configured table turnover
- Multilingual β English, νκ΅μ΄, δΈζ built in
- Runs on anything β a phone, tablet, laptop, or TV in the front of house
- Zero cost β no subscription, no ads, no data collection
How it works
The restaurant sets up two numbers β average table size and average table time β and the waitlist does the rest. Customers join the queue with a name and party size, then get a QR code they can scan to track their wait on their own phone. When their table is ready, the status updates. Names stay masked throughout.
All data stays in the browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to any server.
Who we are
We're a small team of builders who love restaurants and hate unnecessary complexity. This tool came out of a conversation with a friend who runs a busy noodle shop and was tired of shouting names over a crowd. If it helps your restaurant, we'd love to hear about it.
